God of faithfulness
The idea that lies behind the Hebrew
word ’Emunah is certainty or reliability. The God of
faithfulness is more true to His people than they have ever been to Him. Even
when we fail Him, He is willing to forgive us and restore relationship with us.

In KJV the name is God of truth and
the NIV describes Him as the faithful God.
Jeremiah spoke of God’s faithfulness
toward sinful people in a well-known passage:
It is because of
the Lord‘s mercies that we are not consumed because his compassions fail
not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23)
Two related Hebrew names for God are
Faithful God and a name that is rendered God of truth and fidelity (or
faithfulness) in the Amplified Bible. Jesus is called Faithful and true in the
book of Revelation.
