God of Deliverances

God of Deliverances is one translation of this Hebrew phrase. The second Hebrew word is related to the word for salvation, so the name could equally be the “God of saving acts.”

In Psalm 68 “God who is our salvation (’El yeshua‘tenu)” is written a few verses before its parallel, “God of deliverances.”

God is to us a God of deliverances;

And to God the Lord belong escapes from death.
 (Psalm 68:20)

Other versions translate this name of God in different ways. The NIV has God who saves, while the KJV has God of salvation.
